Syria, North Korea discuss enhancing cooperation
DAMASCUS– Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Minister of Local Administration Omar Ghalawanji and Ambassador of Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Syria, Choe Su Hon, on Sunday discussed means of bolstering cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Minister Ghalawanji stressed that the priority of the Local Administration Ministry is to help citizens who were forced to leave their houses because of the terrorist acts committed by the armed terrorist groups.
Ghalawanji highlighted that the Ministry is focusing on rehabilitating the infrastructure institutions in the places which witnessed terrorist acts before being cleaned by the Syrian army.
Ghalawanji added that the government called upon citizens of Homs to go back to their houses after the government finished work on rehabilitating the infrastructure and service institutions in the areas that were cleared of the terrorists.
He underscored that Syria managed to confront the conspiracy because of the awareness of the Syrian people and leadership, highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries to achieve the interests of the two peoples.
For his part, Ambassador Su Hon stressed his country's full support to Syria in the face of the US-Western plot which aims at undermining the Syrian state and its sovereignty and stability.
