Prime Minister underlines importance of Syria's doctors as partner of the government in charting health policies
DAMASCUS_ Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halki said that the health sector is a vital one that is carrying out its duties despite the attacks of armed terrorist groups, hailing the courage and efforts of the medical and technical cadres in delivering health services to citizens.
During his meeting on Sunday with head of the Syrian Doctors' Union, Dr. Abdul-Kader Hassan and members of the Union's Central Council said that the government is exerting great efforts to provide the needs of the health sector and the basic needs of the Syrian people as to enhance national steadfastness to solve the current crisis.
He gave a review of the measures adopted by the government to help the families hit by the current crisis and the preparations underway to hold a national reconciliation conference with the aim of solving the crisis in peaceful means.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the Doctors' Union and its cadres as a primary partner to the government in charting health policies and strategies and helping in modernizing relevant laws and legislations, enhancing national dialogue and national reconciliation.
For his part, Dr. Dr. Abdul-Kader Hassan underlined the doctors' commitment to carrying out their duty against all odds and enhancing Syria's steadfastness in the face of challenges.
