Austrian Journalist: The West, Turkey and Gulf are waging proxy war against Syria

VIENNA– Correspondent of the Austrian newspaper Wiener Zeitung in Damascus Thomas Seifert said that the west, Turkey and the Gulf are waging proxy war against Syria through terrorists.

Seifert added that the duty of the Syrian leadership is to remove the terrorists from the urban areas and protect the civilians.

The report included several testimonies made by the residents of al-Midan neighborhood in Damascus expressing relief after the Syrian armed forces entered the area as they put an end to the violence acts which had been committed by the armed terrorist groups.

The report quoted the locals as saying that what is happening in Syria is an international conspiracy against Syria and its people.
