Preparatory Meetings of 8th Syrian-Russian Joint Committee held in Moscow

MOSCOW– Syrian-Russian Joint Committee for Scientific, Technical, Economic and Commercial Cooperation on Wednesday held sub-committees' meetings to discuss aspects of cooperation in the meetings of the committees' 8th session.

The sub-committees were headed by Syria's Minister of Finance Mohammad al-Jleilati and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin.

The meetings are due to tackle means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields, particularly energy, industry, transportation, irrigation and communication, with the aim of developing economic relations up to the strategic level of the political coordination between Damascus and Moscow.
