UN observers continue tours in Idleb, Homs, Damascus countryside and Hama... UN: 4 observer vehicles hit by explosive device near Hama

PROVINCES – A team of UN observers on Tuesday visited a number of neighborhoods in Idleb city and the town of Teftnaz in its countryside, meeting some of the locals.

In Homs, another observer team visited the neighborhoods of al-Khalidiye and al-Qusour, while a third team visited the town of Douma in Damascus countryside.

Another team visited several sites in which terrorists carried out vandalism in the towns of Kafr Zeta and Mork in Hama's countryside.

UN stresses that a bomb exploded while a Convoy for international monitors crossed in Khan Sheikhoun

UN Spokesman Martin Nesirky underlined that a hand-made bomb exploded while a four-car convoy that transports international monitors crossed, causing no casualties.

" The explosion that took place at Khan Sheikhoun in Hama hit three cars for the monitors with damages causing no causalities," AFP quoted Nesirky as saying today.

Earlier, Ahmad Fawzi, Spokesman for the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan said "A blast of an explosive device caused damage to a four-vehicle convoy belonging to the UN observers in Khan Sheikhoun, near Hama." 

Reuters quoted Fawzi in a message published on Twitter as saying that the explosive device was exploded in Khan Sheikhoun near Hama and no injuries reported.
