International Children´s Day marked

LATTAKIA_ Minister of Culture Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh said the child is the main pillar in building the future of the homeland, stressing that giving him a great attention is a sacred national duty and responsibility of everybody.

The Minister's remarks came during the launching of activities of the International Children´s Day in Lattakia on Saturday .

Minister Mshaweh stressed the necessity for the cultural centers to regain their role in building bridges of trust between the components of society.

For her part, Director of the Child Culture Department, Malak Yassin, noted that this activity is part of the Ministry's plan to attract the children to the activities organized by the cultural centers in the different governorates.

Mobile exhibitions, ecological club and theatrical, literary and media workshops were opened on the sidelines of the activity.
