New batch of Political-Military Faculty officers graduate

DAMASCUS_  Chief of the General Staff of the Army and the Armed Forces, Gen. Fahd Jassem al- Freij, said that Syria is passing through extraordinary circumstances and a semi-cosmic war that targets its existence and seeks to undermine its power.

Al-Freij's remarks came during a graduation ceremony for a new batch of the Political-Military Faculty officers on Monday, under the auspices of President  Bashar al-Assad.

He said that the conspirators seek to take revenge upon the Syrian people who foiled the enemies' goals in tearing apart Syria's unity and undermining its honorable role.

Gen. al-Freij added that Syria has dealt positively with all Arab and international initiatives to find a political settlement to the crisis, but the enemies have always responded with unprecedented escalation on the ground, coupled with media frenzy of instigation to disrupt normal life.
