Syria, UNICEF review aspects of cooperation to improve child care

Damascus– Deputy Foreign Minister Fayssal Mikdad discussed with the new resident representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Syria, Yousef Wild Abdel Jalil, aspects of cooperation between Syria and the UNICEF organization.

Abdel Jalil stressed his commitment to the cooperation relations that are based on respect and confidence between official and civil sides in the field of childhood.

He hailed Syria's achievements over the last four decades in regard to child care and being the pioneer in the whole region.

Mikdad called for objectivity and accuracy in conveying news about the situation of children in Syria particularly during the current circumstances.

He expressed Syria's readiness to fully cooperate and coordinate with the UNICEF to facilitate the carrying out of its programs in the right way to serve the interests of Syria's children.
