In new violation of international conventions…Israeli occupation authorities extend detention period for doctor from Golan

QUNEITRA_ The Israeli occupation court in Nazareth extended the period of detention for the doctor Eyad Jamil al-Jawhari from the occupied Majdal Shams town after arresting him on Thursday upon crossing to the occupied side, returning to Golan along with a group of Golan students who finished their studies in the Syrian universities.

SANA correspondent said that the relatives of al-Jawhari were waiting for him on the occupied side, but the occupation authorities informed them of his arrest.

Governor of Quneitra, Hussein Arnous, called upon the international and humanitarian organizations to interfere and pressure the occupation forces to immediately release al-Jawhari.

For his part, Chairman of the Committee for Supporting Golan Prisoners in Israeli prisons, Ali al-Younes, said that arresting doctor al-Jawhari comes as part of a series of Israeli violations against the steadfast people of Golan, in an attempt to break their will, adding that there are 30 persons from the occupied Golan in Israeli prisons, 6 of which have been detained for more than 25 years.
