Authorities combat terrorist groups in Lattakia, injuring some terrorists, thwart attempt to smuggle weapons from Lebanon
PROVINCES- An armed terrorist group on Tuesday attacked citizens and law enforcement members in al-Haffa city in Lattakia countryside, and attempted to sabotage public and private properties after it destroyed two ambulances.
SANA correspondent was informed that the authorities engaged the terrorist groups, injuring several terrorists.
The source added that two members of the authorities were martyred during the conflict.
Authorities Foil Terrorist Operation in Idleb Countryside, Prevent Weapon Smuggling Attempt
The authorities on Sunday foiled an attempt to explode a truck loaded with huge amounts of explosives, and arrested the terrorist who was driving it in al-Rami Town in al-Zawiya Mountain, Idleb Countryside.
Sana reporter quoted a source in the province as saying that the explosives were put inside a water tank and they were covered with stones inside the car with the aim of causing the maximum human and material damage through exploding the truck.
The source added that the terrorist was planning to explode the car near one of the law enforcement checkpoints, and he fled after failing in implementing the operation as the competent authorities arrested him and foiled the terrorist operation.
Attempt to Smuggle Weapons from Lebanon Thwarted
Based on information provided by locals, the authorities managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle four cars loaded with weapons from Lebanon to Syria in al-Qasir area.
A source told SANA's correspondent that the terrorists were using four pickup trucks loaded with weapons and tried to enter Syria from Assal area, but the authorities confronted them and managed to injure some of the smugglers, while the rest fled back to Lebanon.
Terrorist Break Into Electric Power Department, Stab One Worker and Abduct Three
An armed terrorist group broke into the electric power department in Ein al-Nisr north of Homs city, attacking workers and citizens who were there on business and robbing them.
A source in the province told SANA's correspondent that the terrorist stabbed worker Mohammad Ibrahim with a sharp object and abducted three others: Ghazi Milhem, Mohammad Shaher Shahin, and Ahmad Khedr Darwish.
Authorities Seize two warehouses of explosives in Damascus countryside
Competent authorities today seized two warehouses of weapons and explosives in Akraba and al-Koswa in Damascus countryside.
The two warehouses included big quantities of chemical first materials to prepare hand-made explosives.
In Damascus, the authorities seized a Taxi at Dawar al-Matar with Russian rifles and ammunitions inside.
In Hama, the authorities stormed terrorist dens in Janoub al-Malab, arresting a number of terrorists and confiscating big quantities of ammunitions.
The weapons confiscated were rifles, RBGs machine guns, snipers and pistols.
Law enforcement personnel, two children injured by car blast Idleb
A number of law enforcement personnel and two children were injured today in Idleb.
A source in Idleb told SANA reporter that an armed terrorist group blasted a Suzuki car between Dawar al-Malaab and University Street in Idleb, causing injuries to children Abdo Suda and Hassan Hajj Jumaa.
